Journey to Rooted Hold is Caravel Games' fourth major game in the Deadly Rooms of Death series and first commercial game. It was released on April 1st, 2005, using the DROD 2.0 engine with three room styles. Later updates 3.0 and 5.0 provided additional aesthetic improvements, as well as more room checkpoints and game challenges.

Story[]

The game narrates the adventure of delver Beethro Budkin and his nephew Halph as they explore the Beneath, beyond King Dugan's original dungeon.
